This document tracks the bundled runtime catalog in ClueSolver/Editions/Data and answers one practical question:

Does this physical edition fit the current app well enough to expose as Supported, Likely Works, or Unsupported?

Current engine boundary

The app is currently a good fit only when an edition still behaves like classic Clue:

exactly 3 hidden solution cards
one hidden card per category
standard clockwise suggestion / disproof flow
no side decks that change deductions or reveal extra information the app cannot log
no secret-role, co-op, liar, or hidden-movement systems

The UI now supports data-driven labels, icons, and card counts for the 3 built-in category slots, but the solver still assumes exactly 3 internal slots.

Status legend

Supported: source-backed fit for the current engine
Likely Works: the hidden case still looks like a classic 3-card solve, but the physical release adds caveats or partially verified extra systems
Unsupported: the physical release adds rules the current app does not model honestly

Catalog Changes Made In This Pass

Tightened the compatibility matrix in GameEdition.swift so only the verified classic-family fits stay selectable as Supported.
Updated several bundled JSON files to match source-backed labels or card names more closely:

Remaining Gaps

No currently bundled edition remains in the Likely Works bucket after this deeper verification pass.
A few unsupported editions now have better category labels, but some runtime card lists are still only partially source-verified because public text sources do not expose every card name.
The next real feature step is not “more catalog cleanup”; it is a rule-family system for side decks, liar / truth flows, junior families, and non-classic case structures.
